The Project: Ceiling and Wall Repair After Water Damage

The Process: Reboarding the Ceiling and Repairing the Wall

The new plasterboard was securely fixed into place using screws into the existing ceiling joists, providing a solid base for the new skim coat.
We then focused on repairing the wall, which had also been damaged by the water leak. The wall was treated with a dot-and-dab method of plasterboarding, ensuring a perfect bond between the wall and the plasterboard. Once the boards were in place, we skimmed both the ceiling and the wall, leaving a smooth and flat surface.
After allowing the plaster to dry, we carefully polished the surface to ensure it was perfectly smooth and ready for the final coat of paint. The work was completed in one day, and the room was left clean, tidy, and looking like new.
